#49: Staring Contest (Part Three)

Alex and Max are staring at each other with wide eyes, Alex has bags under his eyes. Alex falls to the ground, gasping and coughing. Their eyes return to normal. Max checks his watch and declares: "Huh! 26 hours 5 minutes, not bad for a beginner..." "Beginner?!?" Alex cries.

#48: Staring Contest (Part Two)

The Next Day... a caption reads in cursive. "Here's your breakfast." says Elaine, giving Alex, who has gigantic, baggy eyes, a tray and mug. "thank you" he says, shaking. Max is fine. They both slurp from their mugs and continue staring at each other while Elaine leaves.

Max says, "Let's have a STARING CONTEST!" "Ok," Alex agrees. Their eyes grow to the size of small dinner plates.

#46: Snowball

Max, on top of a tall snowy hill, rolls a snowball the size of his hand down the hill. He lays back, then is startled by a crash. The snowball has grown giant over the hill and has crashed into a house, annoying Elaine.

#45: 'Tis the Season

Fred and Max are wearing Santa hats in the snow, there is a green sign reading "Welcome to MARGONSFIELD, CALIFORNIA" on the left. Fred sings, "'Tis the season to be-" but thunder booms and lightning strikes their hats, the sign leans, and it starts to rain. "Jolly?" Fred asks, their hats smoking.

A wooden boat is floating in a lagoon, with Alex and Max in it. Alex says, "I love being out here. No distractions, no interruptions... Just... peace." "I'm hungry." Max complains. "For a while..." Alex says.

#43: AI Cardboard (Part Four)

A box with a wobbly smile, two eyes and an ON button stands in the panel. Max says, "Good news! I fixed Bot!" Alex, the last object in the panel, screams "WHY'D YOU FIX IT? IT'S EVIL!" Max says, "It has a happy face, see?", clicks the ON button, and explains "It plays a rock version of My Little Pony Theme song." A rainbow comes out of Box's mouth that reads "MY LITTLE PONY" with broken music notes. Alex is flung into the air and manages to get a grip on the ground. NYEOOOW MY PONY the rainbow reads. Max says, "Oops. Um... Still a few kinks to work out, huh?" Alex says, "I think I liked this thing better when it was evil."

A green caption reads "6 x 9 = 42(ND COMIC)". Marvin from The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy (2005 film) sits on a rock, saying in red: ""LIFE? DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT LIFE." - MARVIN FROM THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY, BY DOUGLAS ADAMS"

#41: AI Cardboard (Part Three)

An angry box with a printed-on mouth, angry laser eye, normal eye and swinging smaller box and tape arms in the air, is firing a laser at Max, who is pulled out of the way by Alex, who says "What are we going to do?" Max says, "I've got an idea." then points and says "Hey! Look over there!" Both Alex and the box look that way, when Max pulls out a Soakey Soak™ and soaks the box, who screams "GHAA!" and becomes a soggy lump. "How-" Alex begins, but Max explains "I always keep a Soakey Soak™ Deluxe from Friday's Everything Store. Just in case."

#40: AI Cardboard (Part Two)

Alex and Max are hiding behind a rock. Alex says, "Here's the plan - we trap the bot under this rock, then fix it." Max says "Got it!" They hurl the rock at a cardboard box with a LASER and ON button drawn on. Alex grunts and says, "Eat this, bot!" The bot lasers the rock in midair, it explodes. The bot, growing bigger and angrier, growls "GRRRRRR..." at them, then chases them growling "RAGHH!" Max says, "It ate it."

#39: AI Cardboard (Part One)

There is a box with an up arrow on it. It has a Sharpied-on button that says ON and a black one that says LASER. Taped to either side of it are smaller, featureless boxes. Alex asks Max, who is on top of the box, "Whatcha doin?" Max replies "Making a robot out of boxes!" and hops down onto of one of the smaller boxes. Alex asks, "Why?" And Max explains "To help around the house!" He presses the ON button. Alex says "You have to know a lot about engineering before -" The box whips around, its up arrow dividing into two eyes and a nose, screams "DESTROY!" and lasers the ground. It gallops after them. Max pants, "It works!" Alex sarcastically says "Yipee."

#38: Late for School (Part Two)

There is a vrooming noise from the sky, off-panel. Margonsfield's School for the Gifted stands in the middle of the panel. Suddenly a red car falls from the sky and crashes into the school. From inside the school, one person says "Oh, not again!" and another person says "You handle it this time."

#37: Late for School (Part One)

In a car sits Alex and Max. Alex says, "Oh no, look at all this traffic! We'll be late for school!" Elaine, driving with a green car behind her, says "Fasten your seat belts. He he he," and presses a red button. Elaine's red car drives right over the roof of the blue car in front of it, which says "!" There is also a pale yellow car in front of the blue one.

#36: Our 50th Comic!

Fred and Elaine are standing on giant plastic pink letters reading "50". Fred yells, "Woo hoo! 50 comics!" Elaine reasons, "Wait a minute... This is only number 36. We still have 14 to go." Fred says, "Oh." He calls someone on his phone, asking "Hello, what's your refund policy on giant plastic pink numbers?"

Comic number "50" is a huge milestone! My good friend Frederico McJeannason even bought a set of family fun-size pink plastic numbers for the occasion.

#35: One Time Wi-Fi

Elaine complains to Fred that her Wi-Fi isn't working. Fred tells her to turn it off and back on, after all that works for him one hundred percent of the time. Elaine does, but it doens't work. She asks Fred how many times he has tried this. Fred replies, "One time."

#34: Duct Tape Lady

The caption is "Amanda McJeannason had a normal life." A person with long stick-straight diagonal hair stands in the middle of the panel. "She regularly chatted with her cousins, Fred and Elaine McJeannason, and her snake Cuddles." Shows a green snake, Fred, Elaine, and Amanda. "Until one day she ate a piece of duct tape." Amanda says while holding a fork with duct tape, "I have this left over from an art project. Well, waste not want not." The caption is "And became..." "Duct Tape Lady!" says Amanda in gray, balloon text, holding duct tape rolls.

#33: What Not to Do With Blowdarts

Elaine is holding a straw with a blowdart in it, aimed at a target. She accidentally inhales and sucks it in instead of exhaling and shooting it. She then has to extract the dart from her tongue with Tweezers with the caption "This was the first time Elaine had ever had to extract a dart from her tongue with Tweezers."

#31: Counting Sheep

The title panel reads "Happy Thanksgiving 2018!" with the footnote "CE". A turkey is saying "Phew!" after being replaced by salad on the Thanksgiving dinner plate. Max in his bed complains of being unable to sleep, and tells himself to count sheep. He knocks on the door of Friday's house and asks Friday the sheep to do something for him. They are then seen at Max's house. Friday, who is wearing a number and complaining, "Do I have to do this?" Max replies that he needs sleep and he needs a sheep to count - Friday.

#30: Seesawing Prepared

Alex and Max are playing on a seesaw. Max gets bored and walks off, then coming back wearing a backpack, blankets, a fridge,, etc. and says "Ready!" Max sits on the seesaw and Alex is catapulted, screaming, into the air.

#29: Pizza Dinner

Elaine and Fred are in the panel, and Elaine says "You have 99 cousins besides me and you invited them to the SAME PIZZA DINNER?!?" Fred explains he didn't want to leave out anyone. Later, Elaine is sitting between two of Fred's other cousins, one with long, straight unflexible hair and holding silverware while sticking his tongue out, and another whipping a napkin tied to a knife around and wearing huge glasses, and in front of her a snake saying hi. Fred then discovers and announces that there is only one pizza, much to the dismay of his cousins. He says he can fix it while the lady who was next to Elaine runs around screaming waving her napkin. There is a furious chop-chop-chop-chop-chop noise and plates with tiny, bite-size pizza slices come sliding into view, pushing the snake and shoving a bunch of stuff that was on the table (silverware, phones, napkins) into the lady with glasses' face.

#28: Cloudbusters (Part Two)

Max rises into the air, saying "Taste the wrath of my Not-Rain dance!" to the raincloud that has entered Fred's home. He pushes the confused cloud towards Elaine, who tackles it and nets it. The surprised cloud is then vaccummed out of the net by Alex, with Max hovering over them. "Don't come back!" says Alex as he releases the cloud (who is sticking its tongue out at Alex) out the door, which has been busted down by the Cloudbusters. "So. Um. The door." begins Fred. "What about it?" asks Elaine.

#27: Cloudbusters (Part One)

Fred is sleeping on the couch, with the caption "A Peaceful Day Inside...", which then changes to "Or Is It?!?" when a laughing raincloud invades his home and rains on him. He runs away screaming, "Ah no! A rain cloud has trespassed inside!" But the cloud gives chase, laughing louder. Running through a puddle, he calls someone and yells "Help! Home invasion!" The door falls down, revealing the silhouette of Elaine, Alex, and Max. The viewer zooms in, and Elaine shouts, "Never fear! The Cloudbusters are here!"

#26: Pumpkin Carving

Elaine inserts her knife in a pumpkin, with her children Alex and Max watching. She then proceeds to move the knife in a random path, reducing the pumpkin to hard pieces and mush. She then exclaims, "Now let's get the candle!" and Alex, skeptical if their "Jack-O-Lantern" will work, comments, "Uh, Mom?"

#25: Blue Fish

Fred and Elaine are standing, and Fred asks Elaine if she wants to hear a joke. He begins, "How many surrealists does it take to change a -" but Elaine answers, "6", before he can finish. Fred says "Oh. Okay." The conversation dies. Fred kicks a rock absentmindedly.

#24: Paddleball

Fred is bouncing a paddleball. He becomes less interested and more annoyed as he rapidly bounces it. As the result of his bouncing the top half of the paddleball explodes, leaving behind a singed, smoking paddle and melting ball. He bounces the ball, happier than before.

#23: When Thermostats Go Wrong

A red door opens as Elaine announces, "I'm home!" She stares at the inside of the house, then begins "Oh, no..." The perspective changes to show the entrance room, where everything is covered in icicles and snow, and Max is reading a book while a pair of penguins are frolicking around. Elaine scolds Max for cranking up the air conditioning, and he complains that he likes it very cold.

#22: Barrel Roll

Fred is sitting on a plane seat. Suddenly the plane rotates dramatically, and everyone crashes into a wall at the front of the plane near the cockpit, cracking it severely. After the plane rotates back to its normal position, a voice announces over the loudspeaker, "Please fasten your seat belts." The characters look annoyed.

#21: New Phone

The doorbell rings and Fred hurries to it, declaring that his new phone came. He hauls the package inside and opens it, then screams as a live weasel pokes its head out.

#20: The Messiest Closet in the World

Alex and Max tell the black sheep Friday that they have come over to play. Friday searches in a closet with a vault door for a Monopoly board, and clanging and hissing comes from the closet, and eventually the closet door explodes. Friday emerges, and announces that he found the board, then asks Max and Alex why they are staring at him.

#19: Not-Rain Dance

There is a small raincloud above two children's heads. The taller one, Alex, says, "Uh oh, it's raining." The shorter one, Max, says, "I'll do my not-rain dance!" Max begins to hover in the air as a rainbow seeps off of him and pushes the cloud away, and eventually on top of their mom, Elaine. Off-panel, Max yells "Sorry!"

#17: Harvest Time

There is a vegetable garden. A line of carrots is in front of a sign labeled "Cartoonish Carrots", and the carrots are being sucked into the ground one by one as two kids chase after the carrots. Underground, a rabbit is pushing a ShopVac with a rabbit on top of it who says, "I just love ShopVacs," as they harvest the carrots via the vaccuum tube.

#16: Baa Baa Black (Friday) Sheep

A man is standing in front of a black sheep, singing "Baa baa black sheep, have you any-" The sheep interrupts him. "Yeah, it's on sale usually it's $10.99 per pound but now it's $5.99 per pound..." The man gets dizzy as the sheep rambles on about PayPal, GPay, Bitcoin, special deals, etc.

A man is looking at "Facetweet" on his phone. There is a checkbox that reads, "I have read and agree to the Terms of Service", "Terms of Service" being a hyperlink. He checks the box without reading the Terms. The phone screams, "LIAR!" He junps, drops the phone, and runs away

"I lost my Lego piece," says a curly-haired boy sitting on a haystack, and a short-haired boy replies, "Ok, I'll try to find it." The short-haired boy shuffles in a different haystack with a barn next to him. "Hey look! My old blackberry..." The curly-haired boy turns around. "And my Google Pixel...XKCD Phone..." The curly-haired boy starts to get annoyed. "Etch-A-Sketch...Sewing kit...MasterLock..." The curly-haired boy falls asleep.

Lady: "Oh, let me read your tea leaves!" Man: "Ok" Lady: "I see that at 5 o' clock tomorrow...No, wait...12 seconds after 5 o' clock...A red Prius will come to the curb...No...Ford...Lexus...Ford...Lexus...Oh, Toyota...(The man starts to get annoyed.)...And a man will roll down the window and say...Wait, no...He hops out, then says...And with a horrible grin, he says...Oh, wait, he doesn't say anything...And then he gets back in the car...Oh, and he trips over a piece of gum first...Huh? Where are you going?" (The man is heading for the tea shop exit.)

"Mwahaha!" says a villian in a black cloak in front of a computer on a control console. He presses a button that reads "Destroy Earth" and it beeps. The computer asks him "Are you sure you want to destroy Earth?" "WHAT?? GRRR... Yes..." The computer asks him for his username and password. He falls asleep slumped on the control console.

An pink, yellow, and blue octopus has broken out of its aquarium exibit and broken glass is lying in a puddle on the floor. The octopus is looking at a map of the aquarium and thinking, "Now where's the restroom?" Someone is exclaiming from off-panel.

A man and two women present a cake taller than two people on a wheeled flat circular pan. The man says "Now we present to you...the world's largest cake!" "Wow!" says another man, the presentee. "My friend Gabriel here was a huge part in this project..." says the presenter. "Did she buy the ingredients?" "NO!" "Make the icing?" "Nope!" "The CAKE?" "Even better!" "She found the outlet where we plugged in the dramatic lighting!" the presenter continues, gesturing to a pair of theater lamps. The presentee looks slightly confused.
